Scenario
You have installed the Exclaimer - Signatures for Exchange routing agent and are starting to experience mail flow issues on your Exchange server.
After reviewing the Windows application logs, you see a similar error being logged by the Edgetransport.exe process:
Reason
You received this error message (logged by Edgetransport.exe and other processes) because the Exclaimer routing agent requires certain .Net library items that are unavailable on the server, or it could be an unsupported version of .Net Runtime installed on the server.
Please note that Exclaimer - Signatures for Exchange routing agent requires .Net 4.7.2.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, you need to install or upgrade the correct version of the .Net Framework.
To upgrade the .Net Framework
- Identify the version of the .Net Framework you have installed.
- Uninstall Exclaimer.
- Upgrade to the correct version of .Net Framework.
- Install Exclaimer.
